What IS Second Life, anyway?

It's a virtual world sitting out on your computer. For no cost and only a little time, you can come together with other readers and writers to discuss the books you love best.

Along with my friend and fellow writer, Elaine Levine, I'm hosting a monthly Second Life Salon, the third Wednesday of every month.

What's a Salon? It's an informal get together, sitting around chatting about a particular topic or with a special guest. We'll be talking about books, about writing, about whatever strikes your fancy -- so please do come visit with us!

Who's invited? Everyone! Readers, authors, booksellers, agents, anyone in the publishing industry... everyone who enjoys reading romance is invited to come chat together. You never know who might drop in!

The Second Life Salons are held 7 - 8 PM Mountain time at my booth in Second Life.

Not familiar with Second Life? Doesn't matter - we're all learning together! Besides, we all know how to chat! And chatting in a virtual community is even more fun -- like actually sitting in a room with your friends.

What do you need to do to take part? Simply go to Second Life download the program and create your avatar -- the character that will represent you in the Second Life world. Once you've created your character, you can sign in on

Remember, there is NO CHARGE for downloading the program or for creating your avatar! NO CHARGE to come visit with us! We will be chatting in both text and in voice for any of you who have microphones to connect to your computers!
